Alex Marquez will be determined to register his second victory of the 2025 Italian MotoGP season by clinching the
German MotoGP.

The Ducati BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP rider missed out on a spot at the Dutch MotoGP on June 29, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Marquez started third on the grid and he was forced to retire after being involved in an accident, but he collected nine points, having finished second in the sprint event.
MotoGP title ambitions
The Cervera-born rider still placed second in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 239 points from 10 races.
Alex is 68 points behind leader Marc Marquez of Ducati and 58 points ahead of third-placed Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati.
Why Alex Marquez could win the 2025 German MotoGP
The 29-year-old has failed to win the last three races and he is under pressure to win the German MotoGP to boost his MotoGP world title ambitions.
Marquez, who won the 2019 German Moto2 race, finished third in last year's German MotoGP and he will be keen to go two steps further, and win this weekend's race.
What did he say?
“Today the pace at the front was very similar," Alex Marquez said at the 2025 Dutch MotoGP.
"But Marc (Marquez) was stronger in the last chicane and in the first corner, which didn’t allow me to get close enough to have a shot.
"The third sector, where I was stronger, wasn’t the ideal part of the track for overtaking, so we must ‘settle’ with this [sprint event] podium."
